Refusing to toe the party line when it goes against your values takes an enormous amount of courage and strength.

Cindy Ledbetter is a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, and she’s also a nurse practitioner dedicated to increasing access to healthcare for women. So when a recent bill threatened exactly that, she voted no, despite experiencing pressure from her party.
