Action Items
- Complete the Pre-Competency Assessment by July 24 (see steps below).
- Complete your DiSC Assessment by July 24 and review your DiSC Assessment report (see steps below).
- Meet with your Accountability Partner. Discuss the following questions:
- What do you want to get out of this leadership-development process? Name at least one specific outcome.
- Name at least TWO takeaways or “a-ha” moments from Above the Line, Below the Line (linked so you can watch it again).
- How does your mindset impact your leadership influence?
- What can you do to foster an above-the-line mindset in yourself when you dip below the line?
The DiSC Management Assessment provides valuable insight into who you are and how you lead. You will use the assessment report throughout the program. There is a sample DiSC email (*below) so you know what to expect. It will come from HRD Leadership <hrdleadership@wiley-epic.com>.
The assessment takes less than 20 minutes to complete. You will need to complete your assessment by July 24 and you will have immediate access to your results upon completion. Once completed, please review your DiSC Assessment Report (pg. 1-6).

Pre-Competency Assessment
The pre-competency assessment will establish a baseline for your confidence and competence level on a variety of
leadership competencies. Please watch for an email from hrdprograms@hrdleadership.com via SurveyMonkey <member@surveymonkeyuser.com>. The pre-assessment takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Please complete by July 24.
- Complete the mid-point survey
- Give the feedback you identified you need to give/accountability conversation you need to have
- Meet with your accountability partner(s) to discuss both of the above!
- Begin to work on your Leadership Mission
- Optional: The Secret to Giving Great Feedback – Ted Talk
- Work on applying two or three productive conflict behaviors
- Listen to Quick Thinks: All Effective Communication Must Start With This (Episode 25 of Think Fast, Talk Smart) and meet with your accountability partner to discuss
- Review pgs. 7-21 in your DiSC report (Motivating & Delegating)
- Complete the post-competency assessment by September 15
- Keep thinking about your Leadership Mission!
