DiSC Management Assessment

The DiSC Management Assessment provides valuable insight into who you are and how you lead. You will use the assessment report throughout the program. There is a sample DiSC email (*below) so you know what to expect. Your assessment will come from HRD Leadership <hrdleadership@wiley-epic.com>.


The assessment takes less than 20 minutes to complete. You will need to complete your assessment by June 20 and you will have immediate access to your results upon completion. Once completed, please review your DiSC Assessment Report (pg. 1-6).

Pre-Competency Assessment

This pre-assessment will establish a baseline for your confidence and competence-level on a variety of

manager competencies. The pre-survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Please complete by June 20.

  • Read the Introduction-pg. 22 in Power in the Pivot
  • Meet with your Accountability Partner. Discuss the following:
  • Key take-aways from our DiSC discussion (pgs. 2-7, 22)
  • Thoughts/reactions to the pages you read in Power in the Pivot
  • Think of a time/times your communication has failed (or you’ve been misunderstood). Bring these situations to our next workshop.
  • Continue working on your Leadership Mission (we will discuss progress in our next workshop).


Pre-Work for Communications in Leadership at a Director Level

August 15

  • Read pgs.47-80 in Power in the Pivot
  • Review p.12-16 and p.17-21 in your DiSC report
  • Meet with your Accountability Partner to discuss:
  • What did you learn about developing and motivating other styles?
  • How will you adapt YOUR style to develop and motivate your team members?
  • Think of a time/times your communication has failed (or you’ve been misunderstood). Bring these situations to our next workshop.
  • Continue working on your Leadership Mission.

  • Practice using your new brain-based tools. Be prepared to share at least 2 examples next time of how you have done so.
  • Meet with your accountability partner to discuss your plans or debrief how it went.
