Pre-Work for Review Pre-Assessment Data and Determine Focus Areas Workshop

October 30

  • Complete the Pre-Competency Survey by October 21
  • Complete your DiSC Assessment by October 21
  • Review your DiSC Assessment report (pgs. 1-6)
  • Meet with your Accountability Partner. Discuss the following questions:
  • Name at least TWO takeaways or “a-ha” moments from Above the Line, Below the Line.  
  • What do you want to gain from this development process? Name at least one SPECIFIC outcome.


DiSC and Pre-Competency Assessment Steps

DiSC Management Assessment

The DiSC Management Assessment provides valuable insight into who you are and how you lead. You will use the assessment report throughout the program. There is a sample DiSC email (*below) so you know what to expect. It will come from HRD Leadership <hrdleadership@wiley-epic.com>.


The assessment takes less than 20 minutes to complete. You will need to complete your assessment by October 21 and you will have immediate access to your results upon completion. Once completed, please review your DiSC Assessment Report (pg. 1-6).

Pre-Competency Assessment

This pre-assessment will establish a baseline for your confidence and competence-level on a variety of

manager competencies. The pre-survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Please complete by October 21.



Pre-Work for Developing Employees - Know and Grow Your Team Workshop

November 21

  • Meet with your accountability partner:
  • Discuss your 2-3 focus behaviors and why you chose them.
  • Share what strengths and also opportunities for growth you see in your DiSC report.
  • Begin talking NOW about your Leadership Mission. What questions do you have?
  • Work on your Leadership Mission.


Pre-Work for Feedback & Accountability Workshop

December 18

  • Plot your team members or closest working colleagues on the DiSC wheel (in handout), and answer the questions about gaps, strengths, and tensions. ​
  • Meet with your accountability partner to discuss the following questions regarding your Action Plan for Success (in handouts):
  • What actions are you planning to adapt communication to someone else’s DiSC style?
  • What obstacles are you planning ahead for?
  • What outcomes do you anticipate? ​
  • Continue working on your Leadership Mission.


Pre-Work for Leading Change Workshop

January 22

  • Give the piece(s) of feedback you need to give and/or have the accountability conversation you need to have.
  • Meet with your accountability partner to discuss both items, using the guided questions:
  • How did the feedback and accountability conversations go?
  • What did you learn about how you might approach it differently next time?
  • Continue to work on your Leadership Mission
  • Complete the mid-point survey (if you haven't already)



Pre-Work for Leading through Conflict Workshop

February 26

  • Complete the Switch Change Framework for the change you identified.
  • Meet with your Accountability Partner and discuss the following questions:
  • How can you find out how your team members are reacting to change?
  • How do you plan to leverage the Journey Through Change and Switch framework to help your team members navigate change more effectively? (Be specific!)
  • Continue work on your Leadership Mission!
