The Challenge:
Stepping into a management role requires more than experience—it requires a mindset shift and a new set of leadership skills. OurHealth–Marathon recognized the need to support employees moving from individual contributor roles into people leadership positions, ensuring they had the confidence and capability to succeed.
The Solution:
To meet this need, HRD* facilitated two customized Manager Essentials™ programs:
- Journey to Leadership Excellence for clinicians
- Lessons in Leadership for headquarters-based leaders
These programs provided practical, real-world tools and growth opportunities, helping new managers develop key leadership competencies and strengthen their ability to lead high-performing teams.
The Results:
The impact of the programs was both measurable and meaningful:
- Lessons in Leadership earned a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 93
- Journey to Leadership Excellence earned an NPS of 76
These scores reflect strong participant engagement, satisfaction, and real value gained from the learning experience.
